Ronald Araujo

Barcelona announced this Tuesday that centre-back Ronald Araujo has agreed to extend his contract at the Camp Nou, with his new deal running until 2026. His previous deal only ran until 2023 and his excellent performances made this extension a priority for Joan Laporta and his fellow directors.

Aged 23, Araujo has become a key player in Barcelona‘s defence and, after months of negotiations and compromises on both sides, this deal has been agreed.

As with the recent renewals of Pedri and Ansu Fati, his release clause has also been set at one billion euros.
